PART-TIME GUEST CONCIERGE / CAVE HOST

Asheville Salt Cave is looking for a warm, dependable and wellness-minded person to join our team as a Part-Time Guest Concierge / Cave Host. This is much more than a traditional front-desk position. Our Guest Concierge is often the first and last person our guests interact with and plays an important role in creating the peaceful, welcoming experience that makes Asheville Salt Cave unique. We are a small, close-knit team where people genuinely support one another. Because of that, finding the right person is important to us. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys helping people and is interested in becoming a knowledgeable, long-term member of our team. THE SCHEDULE Regular shifts: • Saturdays: 3:00 PM–8:30 PM • Sundays: 9:30 AM–4:30 PM • 1-2 additional weekday shifts — days/times to be determined

We also value someone with some flexibility to occasionally help cover for team members when they are sick, traveling or taking time off. Weekend availability is required. Please do not apply if you are unable to consistently work Saturdays and Sundays. ABOUT THE ROLE Our Guest Concierge / Cave Host helps create a calm, organized and welcoming environment while making sure each guest feels cared for. Responsibilities include: • Welcoming guests and providing exceptional, personalized customer service • Answering phones, emails and client inquiries • Checking guests in and out and assisting with scheduling • Educating guests about our services and helping them choose services that best meet their needs • Speaking comfortably with individuals and small groups • Managing multiple tasks while maintaining a calm presence • Using computers, booking software and other technology • Handling real-time questions and unexpected situations with creativity and good judgment • Maintaining cleanliness, organization and the beautiful presentation of our space • Communicating clearly and compassionately with guests and fellow team members • Working independently while also being a supportive and dependable team member THE PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR The ideal candidate is a people person who genuinely enjoys making others feel welcome. You are someone who: • Is warm, positive and naturally hospitable • Is dependable and follows through on commitments • Has strong communication skills and emotional intelligence • Can multitask without becoming overwhelmed • Is a resourceful, creative problem solver • Is comfortable learning new technology and software • Notices the little details • Takes initiative of their work and their team, notices what needs to be done and is a self starter • Works well both independently and as part of a small team • Is comfortable speaking with and educating guests • Has an interest in holistic health, wellness and personal wellbeing • Is looking for long-term employment, rather than simply a short-term job Previous experience in spa, wellness, hospitality, boutique hotels, customer service or front-desk positions is a plus. We are also open to someone changing careers or coming from another customer-facing profession who feels genuinely connected to our environment and is excited to learn. A UNIQUE WORK ENVIRONMENT You’ll have the opportunity to learn about salt therapy, massage therapy, Hammam rituals and other wellness practices while working in one of Asheville’s most unique wellness environments. We want our Cave Hosts to become knowledgeable about what we offer so they can confidently answer questions, educate guests and help create an experience that feels personal and meaningful. COMPENSATION & THE FIRST SIX WEEKS $18/hour during the initial six-week training and orientation period, increasing to $19/hour upon successful completion, plus tips. The first six weeks are an opportunity for both you and our team to make sure the position is the right fit. We invest significant time in training our Guest Concierges, and we want to make sure the person joining our team feels confident in the role and that we are a good long-term fit for one another.
